  • LX5 3.5 V6 FWD

A 3.5 DOHC 24V V6 also known as the 'shortstar' because it is nearly a 4.6 northstar with 2 cylinders cut off, slightly lowered compression ratio and the motor was build from the ground up by itself (not just a 4.6 with the cylinders cut off). This engine was used in the 98+ Oldsmobile Intrigues & The 2001-2003 Oldsmobile Aurora as their base model engine, instead of the l47.

  • L47 4.0 V8 FWD

Debuted in 1994 as a motor for the olds aurora, it is a debored northstar V8 making it 4 liters, it is almost identical to the common FWD northstar (and has the LD8's cams rather than the L37's). There are a few minor differences such as a one piece glass filled thermoplastic intake manifold (to decrease weight due to the increased weight of thicker cylinder walls), a higher compression ratio, a simplified a/c rochester fuel injection system, starter interlock system & a new die-cast structural aluminum oil pan incorporated baffling to reduce oil starvation in hard driving. Engine was found in 1994/1995-1999 Oldsmobile Aurora & 2001-2003 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0.

  • Shelby 1 Series 4.0 V8 (Upgraded L47)

A Shelby version of the L47 4.0 was designed, not much is known about this motor other than it has the L37 4.6 more aggressive cams, an increased compression ratio and a redesigned head. These upgrades bring the horsepower output to an outstanding 320 horsepower @ a high revving 6600 RPM. This motor keeps the complete stock bottom end, and some versions have a supercharger cranking out 600 horsepower at over 10 psi on a nearly stock motor RELIABLY! This motor was mainly produced for the Shelby kit car, but many people swap this motor into fiero's and other cars, 1st generation aurora owners also swap this motor as well because of the 70 horsepower output!

  • LD8 4.6 V8 FWD

This engine was produced in 1994 and is identical to the L37 northstar except for the fact that the cams are less aggressive in order to create better low-midrange power and a higher torque rating. The horsepower rating is from 270-275 horsepower and contains 295-300 ft lbs of torque. Engine is found in the 1994-2002 Cadillac Eldorado , 1994-2002 Cadillac SLS, 1996+ Cadillac Deville Base & Concours/DTS & 2006-2007 Buick Lucerne CXS & Pontiac Bonneville GXP
