No Compression Empty No Compression

I purchased a 2005 SRX that was a repo from a local bank. The vehicle has 114,000 miles on it. The engine will spin over freely and try to start, it will hit and die. Only the first time you try it, after that it will only turn over and over. I ran a compression test on it and none of the cylinders had any compression. What would cause this? I read that the timing components are bulletproof. Do you think this has timing problems?
